This digital artwork collection brings together a series of black and white illustrations from 2021-2025 created in Procreate for iPad, where stark contrast and deliberate mark-making become tools for emotional expression.
Through expressive techniques—raw line work, dramatic shadows, and tension between light and darkness—each piece seeks to evoke states of mind, inner turmoil, and unspoken feelings.
The collection is deeply inspired by the concept of Dolore Magna Aliqua—“great pain, such as”—serving as both theme and emotional anchor for these dark works. Rather than illustrating pain literally, the images translate it into visual intensity, allowing anguish, vulnerability, and introspection to surface as atmospheres and gestures, inviting the viewer to confront the quiet weight of suffering and the emotions that dwell within it.
